Bear Lake Reserve Greeter's Cottage at 412 Lake Forest Drive, Tuckasegee, North Carolina.

Just spent the 4th of July week at Bear Lake Reserve @ 21 Whispering. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. I don't know where to start.....

1. Our house was not in great condition...
a. Tears in couches and chairs
b. Toilet paper holders all broken
c. Spiders the size of my hands
d. Trash in our front yard piled up for days
e. No wood stacked up for fireplace
f. Laundry detergent for 1 load

2. The Lake Club
a. Out of towels everyday
b. Lunch orders took over 45 min
c. Drinks by pool were very weak
d. Pool chairs were all dry rot and broken
e. Boats are never available
f. Staff not very helpful and rude
g. Wine tasting one night but no shuttle back

3. Greeters Cabin / check in

a. No chairs available for 4th party
b. Cookies were always "not made"
c. Would not let our guests access to house
d. 4th July party was cash only

Overall the resort could be something really great but the Management and Staff need some "Disney training". We were made to feel like we were outsiders in this owners community. To say we are upset for what we spent, which was over $3000 for 5 nights Is an understatement. We were going into this vacation actually thinking of purchasing at this resort community and after this experience we would never purchase or return.
